And we begin!
Meet Mel: Aperture Science employee. "Veteran of Test Chambers." He just wants a break from the banal repetition of endless test chambers - even if it's just so he can get some food and nothing more.
Then, after one test chamber...
Inspired by Freeman's Mind and all the other (good) Mind series out there.

So, here I come, roaring back to a youtube account I haven't used in a few years to invade the already crowded field of Mind series. Mostly doing this for two reasons: Boredom, and as a way to improve my comedy writing skills. My apologies to CyhAnide for taking Portal 2 - but I had the idea and it Just. Would. Not. Let. Go. Of. My. Brain. Feel free to completely stomp on my continuity when you finish Chell's Mind, CyhAnide! Although in later episodes, I've tried to line this one up with the timelines of the other major Mind series.
And yes, I've broken one of the major rules of doing a Mind series as decreed by corky064 and CaptCool2...BUT - thanks to WRITING! I have found a way to portal around that rule without actually breaking it. Watch the whole video to find out how I did that.
I've got 7 episodes of this in the bag already, with footage recorded for up to Ep. 17 (the end of the game's Chapter 6) so far, so updates will come at an even pace for a while. Then the pace of updates will probably taper off a bit, but I'll try to keep the gaps between them as short as possible.
And also, yes - the mic issue. Having taken Studio Recording classes in college, I can assure you that this bugs me more than it shall ever bug you viewers. I wish I had an AKG 414, or even a Blue Snowball. But I don't, because this economy sucks. So I gotta make do with my headset. I am doing the best I can to minimize distracting audio elements - and I've also once again used WRITING! to explain away some of it in-universe. Please bear with me on this front.
Lastly, while the game is rated E10+, this Mind series is a solid M rating. There will be swearing (though not absurdly prolific swearing), and my humour in this will sometimes get rather dark. So be prepared for that later on (I'm specifically thinking of a moment from Ep. 5...But I won't spoil!)
Enjoy!
Coming up in the next episode: A revelation about a certain someone from Mel's past.
